Any Failures/Faults with Steering Wheel Buttons?

Last night I noticed the "audio track down" and the "recirc" (which I never use) buttons on the right side of my steering wheel are non-responsive. All the other buttons work. Any ideas? Seems like if there was a pinched wire or a break or failed module or an issue with the slip ring all the buttons would have failed, not just these 2.

I'm going to remove the airbag and look, but curious if anyone else has ever had this issue.
