How do you Reset oil change reminder?
Ok, I've looked all over for how to reset the oil change reminder, but I haven't been able to figure it out. All the online resources show vehicles that are diesels I think, and monkeying around with the displays doesn't do it. I have a gas 2015 35i.
Thanks in advance! |

I haven't needed to do this in my F15 yet, but it should be the same across all the F series.
Here's a video for the F30 (I can confirm this process works on my F30).

If you do this and you're still eligible for free maintenance, you would be giving that up.

Not necessarily. the dealer would have record of your last visit and when they performed the previous change. There are some that choose to change their own more frequently, or they've now past the 'free' oil change in term/mileage (like me). Not sure which is the case for the OP.

The dealer may have a record, but if you switch dealers they may go by CBS data in the car.
