Pics of interior with wood trim?

Would love to see some pics of those who have cars with the interior wood trim option (seems most have the CF trim). Comments from owners too on if they are happy, would change option if they could go back, etc...

I was on the fence months ago, currently have my M3 ordered with CF trim (SS / Full SS leather).

Let the comments / photos stream in!

Carbon fiber this, carbon fiber that, blah blah blah. Wood trim is elegant and classy

I replaced my trim with the burled walnut trim that available in the 340. I'm ready for all the posts disparaging wood trim. I like mine. If you like wood, ignore the haters.

Looks like you have a nice audio upgrade too... and a 6MT! Must be a purist....

Is that a heated wooden steering wheel?

Just an FYI, there are actually four wood trim options available:

Fineline Anthracite
Dark Red Sycamore
Piano Finish Black
White Ash Grain

The first one is available at no charge while the last three are $1080. All have the same PearlGloss highlight.

Here is a link to a sort of local car on the lot at a dealer with the red sycamore trim. I saw it in person last week....definitely different but looks pretty cool. I wouldn't order it but to each their own.

But you can replace any trim with other trims available in any other 3 series. Although, to maintain the PearlGloss trim around the vents, you'll need to get a post-LCI set of trim pieces.

I started to order the Red Sycamore trim but I think it has too much red in it to go with the Amaro leather. Plus, I spend less than the cost of the sycamore to replace it with the walnut.

Wood trim has no place on an M car.

In fact wood trim on any car looks horrible.

Its definitely quite red thats for sure. I have fineline anthracite in my 535 and it looks cool and would probably look nice in an M car.

For sure. I was just alerting the OP that there are other wood options from the factory.

AGREED!!!! actually wood is heavier than carbon, so it will slow the M down

I think it looks good in Platty's combo. The one on the dealer lot has too many colors/things going on, which makes it not look like an M anymore. I'm going with the carbon but briefly considered the gray wood.

I have the aluminum trim in my current 335i, which looks decent but is extremely fragile and has hundreds of dings on the door pieces from the seatbelts. I wouldn't recommend aluminum unless it's coated.

Interesting looking at the photos of this M4 in Sterling VA... although I'm getting a 2017 M3 vs this 2016 M4, the US MSRP is virtually the same between this and my build.

Differences:
1. I got Full Merino leather vs. Extended leather ($1K more)
2. I am getting COMP PkG ($4750) with the 20" wheels
3. I am not paying for 19" wheels
4. I'm not paying for adaptive suspension, Sycamore red wood trim, parking assistant, enhanced USB/BT, carbon fiber accessories or the external accent parts... many of which come with the 2017 / COMP PKG anyway.

I definitely think I am getting the better car for the same MSRP. And I agree the sycamore red trim doesn't seem to go well with those colors.

I got the anthracite and I'm definitely happy with my choice. I would not have gone with either the carbon or the aluminum.
