Any reviews of 2017 cars yet?

I realize that not many people have gotten their 2017 models yet, partially due to the crazy differential issue. But since I'm still 6 weeks out from collecting my car in Munich (or another car as a stand-in - different thread ), I'm desperate for more info on any driveability changes/updates to the 2017 model. My car will be non-ZCP which makes it even more difficult to get info. Does anyone have experience yet with any changes made to 2017's? Specifically thinking about traction / differential software updates, similar to the ZCP.

The previous comparisons between non-ZCP vs ZCP were great but all for MY2016 or 2015.

I've been searching for the same thing- but more related to the new Idrive. As far as explicitly stated changes- I believe it's only the new Idrive 5.0 and that adaptive suspension is now standard. But you are right there are usually changes that aren't told to us by BMW.

Waiting on mine now and would appreciate the follow up. Going to change badges, front outer rings on grille, m4 spoiler and spacers for now. Coding when I can hook up somewhere in my region..

I picked mine up last Tuesday and have a little over 1000mi on it now. I'm hoping to get to 1200 before dropping it off so I can get the service when it arrives back in the US. This is my first M, so I can't compare it to previous models. It does have the new iDrive though which does have some new features, although I'm not sure I can really list them lying here in my hotel room in Berchtesgaden. It has apps like Spotify built in now which my last one didn't have. I don't know if it has carplay or not and neither did the delivery guy. I'm Android so it doesn't really matter to me either way. No complaints about the car so far. The engine is intoxicating coming from my non-M although I could see how it might wake the neighbors.

I miss the seat belt pusher arm.
I wish I could customize what M settings the cars starts in and have them stick.
I got the LED package so I could code it when I get home. In my 1 night of driving with the lights I'm not impressed with the auto high beams. It turns the bright off well, but doesn't seem to turn them back on. I'll have to experiment more with this.

Feel free to ask any questions and I'll do my best to answer.

The colors are ugly, the car is slow and rattles, a bad sound system, the engine noise is horrible and the rims look like shit. It also can't be driven because it has too much power for the rear wheels and from the front, it looks like a hamster.

I had my MY17 for a couple of weeks. No difference from the MY16 ZCP except the idrive (which is much better)

Read my review and you'll sell that shit.

Jesus guys, it's the same fucking car as the first year model. Just a few tweaks. If you want reviews, read the things the guys who did 3000 miles in theirs wrote.

Oh, and as an additional bad review: The leather sucks! My two big dogs or my two active sons never managed to harm it. And all miles were done without me bothering to cover the seats.

How's the car taxes in sweden btw? I'm kind of shopping around now...

to be fair, the reviews are always the same, and all complaints are just listing the few things most of us never even notice. I never once found any of the listed issues from my first one and when I finally give up my life without a car face, I don't expect finding any of the listed issues then either.

It doesn't even matter which car or produced by who is on the plate, enthusiasts always manage to sound like whiny little girls.

The last M4 I drove was my friends 15. Mine is a 17 with the ZCP package, and I couldnt believe how much more feedback I had when I was at the limit compared to the 15'.
Idrive 5.0 is nice, but not as nice as the one in the new G12 7 series.
And yes I love it, cant wait to drive it after work every day.

Any useful new features in the new Idrive that you have discovered? Supposed to be faster but that's all I've really heard. A more intuitive UI?

It's always the same whining, I just copied what was said from the first model...

I still haven't bothered to buy a car after selling mine. This is a topic none of our family members like to talk about since my kids wants Peter back and my husband fears my wrath if he is even considering buying anything after his last fiasco (Audi Q7).

I don't understand ...why would reviewers bother to review the 2017? It's the same damn car.

You aren't going to see new M3/M4 review until a new generstion is released.

I think it helps tide some people over until they get theirs to live somewhat vicariously to the reviews of others that already have theirs, small as the changes as they may be its still info to latch onto and help you look forward to getting yours. I don't see anything wrong with it.

I don't think the OP was looking for general reviews of the MY17. Just looking for comments about what changes have been made since MY16 such as DSC software changes. Maybe read the post without coming in here with an unnecessary comment after only reading the title. And yes I'm sure it's to help the wait which I think we all know is less than enjoyable.
