Info thread- Positive battery cable recall...

hi guys,

just went through an issue with wifes 2010 E90 323i. In 2013 there was a recall of 3 series E90's from 2007-2011 (i think affected M3's as well). basically the issue was the positive cable that goes from battery to the back of the glove box where it plugs into the fuse box, would get loose with vibration and cause it to short at times, completely loosing all power in the car. the fix is they replace the fuse box as well as the end of the battery cable that plugs into the fuse box.

When i enquired with BMW in Perth they said her car VIN number wasnt on the recall list!

i took it all apart and had them look at it and they agreed the same issue happened so BMW took care of it luckily. have a read of my thread i made in 3 series forum if you like
