Wide tyres.. Possible ?

Hey guys!

I know this has been discussed at length and I've searched previous threads but couldn't really get a definitive answer.

I've asked a few people about this and I keep getting a different response, thought I'd take the matter to the experts!

I want a more aggressive stance (as we all do), without having to change my current OEM rims. The rear tyres are 265 35 19 on the OEM rims. My questions

1. If I go wider to 285 35 19 will this be possible? Will the wider tyres fit the OEM rims?

2. Some are saying it'll look 'ugly/funny' as the tyre will look 'over inflated' and will no longer have a flat sidewall. How true is this?

3. Some have even suggested that if I go for a wider tyre, i.e from 265 to 285, I should go for a lower profile, say 30? I find this hard to believe.. The car is an everyday drive, I don't want it to be too bumpy either

I've read and heard so much varying opinions that now I'm more confused than when I first started

What's your recommendation?

TIA guys

Add spacers and problem solved.

Wide Tyres don't make stance aggressive. It's how far the wheels are pushed towards outside
Of guards.

The thing about profile is correct. The wider Tyres require smaller profile. Otherwise you would be driving on 4x4 Tyres.

Using wrong width tyre on a rim can also affect sidewall handling.

For aggressive stance you need a tight offset with some wider rubber.

I run 10.5" ET25 with 305 type in rear (IIRC). Each brand of tyre is slightly width different too

They're silver 710s and are currently being refinished so they'll be perfect (no scratches/curbing). Wheels only, no rubber... was hoping to get $1500
