Competition Pack EDC Shocks on 08 M3

If I pick up a set of Comp Pack EDC shocks can I plug them directly into my 08 without any coding? I know the springs are different but is there any benefits to adding the Comp Pack shocks to an 08 that doesn't have the same software as the later cars?

I currently have a set of BC Coilovers that came on my car. I'm looking for a more stock feel and all of the EDC components are still intact, I just need the shocks.

Thanks!

Have you tried making adjustments to the BC coilovers?

And you need EDC coding for Comp package to take advantage of the dynamic mode in sport.

My main issue isn't really the ride. Somewhere in the front they're making a popping noise. Kinda sounds like coil bind but I adjusted the spring pressure and made sure all the bolts are tight. It's not all the time. I usually hear it at low speeds.

I retro fitted the ZCP pack struts and went with Dinan stage III suspension. I did code the car for the ZCP struts though. It's been about 20K miles and I love it!

If it's pre lci you may need to do more than just zcp coding... I think you may need the full zcp wire harness.

Otoh if you want to retain full edc functionality just get a set of Bilstein B16 coilovers... that utilize Bilstein shocks that plug into the edc system.

I think I just saw a post with someone selling a used set.
