CIC 2017 AUS Maps + FSC

Hi All,

I saw a few threads around where people had one or the other.

Also links to the two main sources now seem to be dead, so if you have both maps and FSC or one or the other please PM me.

Thanks in advance!

I think FSC is coded per car based on VIN no? I believe E-net cable and software can get it (I have both, just haven't got cable to work with laptop yet)

Hi All, cplagz was a gentleman and shared with me some links to obtain maps.

I've only updated them once but when I did I clearly remember they came with a FSC and I'm like 90% sure I didn't have to pull anything out of my system to generate that code.

Regardless does anyone know of anyone who can provide a FSC either with my involvement or not? (that is without buying a bunch of kit to extract it).

I think you're right. USB-based map updates require a code to load/activate from what I remember.

I also thought the FSC code required was tied to your VIN so I think it's either a local dealer or one of our US/Europe forum members that will be able to help....

FSC is tied to the VIN#. It's generated using the VIN#.

Yup I used Andrew as well. Got the 2017 maps from him.
All good no problems. Recommend Andrew Miskell also.

The fsc activation code is generated from a code from the headunit, so either you retrieve it from the headunit or have access to BMW's database for the same code. each is unique to the car. I normally charge $50 to update the map for customers.
