Trade E93 M3 '12 for F12 650i yes or no
First I apologize for my bad english cause I am a German
I want to ask people here, has anybody driven or owns a F12/F13 640i or 650i? Currently I own a E93 M3 2012 with 29.000 km, bought new. I have done some minor mods ( Eibach suspension, H&R Spacers, ECU tune, custom exhaust, Macht schnell stage 2, DCT GTS update and a few other small things). I must say I really lovee this car, my ex car was a tuned E93 335i N55 but M3 is M3 even stock its better then tuned 335i. However, the car is now out of warranty and I am thinking to lease a new car with garanty. I really like the 650i with N63TU. I am 27 years old and for my wife and a kid have a 318d E91 so family problems are solved I use car 99% for myself. Last couple od days I can't sleep of thinking should I sold my car and lease a 650i coupe. My friend is waiting for me with 45.000 € cash (cca 48000 $) without wheels and 47.000 € (cca 50.000 $) with these 359 wheels. I think this is a biig money for a 5 years old M3 and I don't want to let this chance go cause all other offers were way under 42.000 €, even 40.000 €. On the other hand a 1-2 year old 650i with max 10.000 km would cost between 58.000€ and 65.000€ with a lease and its not an ///M So my questions are : How does a 650i compare to M3 in everyday driving, is it boring? After a good suspension does it handle like stock M3? How does 650i sound with exhaust compared to M3 with exhaust? Does the car feels too big compared to M3? Does the ZF8 does downshift with rev match and when in manual mode, can you hit redline without the car changes gear? What would you do honestly? This is my baby, nothing specal, but I really love her even after 5 years This is is my 1. choice after M3 http://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/de...2&pageNumber=1 What would you do? Sold the M3 for this price and get a 650i for next 36 months and mod it, or leave a M3 and let this chance go? |

Your E93 is really clean, I have thought about the switch to the new 6 series but am afraid I will be bored if its not an M. So for me it's a no. It will be like going back to your 335i, its good but there is just something missing.

Agreed, I feel like a car that huge really needs 4 drs. Ever considered a newer 550i xdrive or does it have to be a 2 dr? They look awesome and I hear they are ferociously fast (in a straight line) especially with all that added traction from xdrive and a software/turbo upgrade.

btw, it's not as an absurd switch as I'm indicating. I myself will be going to M6 GC.
I drove the 650i before, it's a quick car, but it's so heavy, you're going to want at least 200 MORE horsepower, and that's what the M6 gives you.

I am not into Porsche, I already had one few years ago.
996 Turbo cabrio, tuned to 500 hp. Then switched to Z06 427 Cabrio..and after my first E46 318 cabrio and E46 330i cabrio I tried E93 335i and ended on E93 M3.. Porsche is a really good build car, way better quality then bmw but I miss the sound and its a 2 seat. Vette was the fastest car I had but very poor build, really not a quality you expect for a car that costs 80.000+€. |

Keep the M3 unless you have reached retirement age.

Keep M3 without even a shadow of a doubt. The 650i is a boring ass land yacht. But if that's your thing, then go for it.

Only one person mentioned the m6.......? What about the v10 m5? I think I would have that in a heart beat over a 650? Many people said that the m5 is one of the best all round cars around. Richard Hammond said this about the new v8 turbo before saying that the v10 m5 might be impossible to top.
