How long do you keep your cars?

I used to keep my cars for an average of about 4 years, but I have now averaged one car every 18 months for the last 5 cars. Not the wisest financial choice, but I find myself getting bored much faster. Hoping my F80 will edge me back to the 4 year thing...6 months in and going strong
Curious to hear average car ownership length from other forum members.

Kept my e46 M3 for just under 5 years, Planning on having my F82 for longer.
You should try buying a daily beater and leaving the nice car at home in the garage. Only driving it on the weekends will slow your boredom.

Just like you... I used to own my cars for 8 years, then 4 years.... but my last three cars have all been leases.... So 3 years.

I'm with you... I am so bored of my cars after 1-2 years... wish they had shorter duration leases.

I wouldn't even mind leasing a one year old car just to get something new.

BMW tech also making leaps every year.( Its still so bad....... )

I have two teslas in order... I'll probably lease those as well.

I had my 1990 nissan 300 zx tt for 25 years! It was the garage queen and had 40k miles when I sold it. The M3 will be used more but is still the fun car. A beater does the grocery getting and the lousy driving in city and horrible weather.

3.5-4 years. Basically, I'll give it up before the warranty expires. Had my 2015 M4 for 2.5... will probably get another in a year.

I used to keep cars for 4 years. My last two cars I've kept for 7 years. I want to keep them as long as possible, but get rid of them before they starting giving me too many problems.

Between 6 months to 2.5 years. Depends on how much I love or hate the car.

I love those cars (the 300zx). If I could find such a low mileage garage queen, I'd be seriously tempted, although kids, garage space, and just the general costs of having a "toy" like that probably prevents me from doing so.
