Anyone offer the 2017 Maps?
Looking for the 2017 maps? I updated my maps last year via USB thumb drives. Someone sold me a map based off my vin and worked great, just curious if anyone is still doing this?
Also will an Idrive update or a map update make my Idrive have the same appearance as the 2017 cars? Thanks.

No, the new cars have NBT which is a totally different in-car entertainment system. There is a retrofit available but it's extremely expensive and complicated.

Private msg user "Dracon". I got 2017 maps from him. I also asked him for lifetime code... then you never need code again. Just download new maps and install.

I updated mine with CIC from ebay with a lifetime FSC code for about $30. It was easy and the seller provided the code and instructions within one business day. Worked out perfectly.

I have the maps downloaded on USB sticks if someone wants them. I may even have a code. If you are local to Dallas you are more than welcome to have them

I did the update from USB sticks also, but it took so long to load the sticks that the battery died just as I was getting the last stick inserted. Had to start over, recopying all the files down to the sticks for disk 1, 2, 3, and 4.
I highly recommend having 4 loaded USB sticks in hand before starting the update, or starting your engine once each stick starts loading. It only has to be off to get it started. |
