New BMW and F82 Owner Here
I finally got my hands on the F82 that I've been stalking. This is my first BMW and I'm loving it so far. I'm coming from 12 years of American V8s.
- 2005 supercharged Mustang GT - 2007 Z51 Corvette - 2014 Z51 Corvette Stingray I must say, this S55 is damn fast and fun! What to do, what to do... |

superb! I have the convertible Yas Marina Blue with Sakhir Orange Convertible 2017 M4 but yours looks more aggressive with those carbon fiber mirrors and front splitters.
Mine is completely stock as I plan to sell it (it has 3000 miles on the clock) to get the 2018 model. Be careful, when you turn off traction control completely off this thing turns into a wild beast. Congratulations and enjoy! |

OP, how would you compare it to your 2014 Vette?

Performance wise, I haven't had the time to take it around some of my favorite bends yet, but first impressions in a straight line say it is quicker to get up to 100 mph. At 100 mph (on my "test" road, which isn't the smoothest), in sport+ it feels like a lot more to handle, the corvette was more planted. The wife-o-meter tells me to slow down sooner which confirms that.
Creature comfort and quality wise, I would say they are very similar. Leather on the F82 might be a little nicer. The F82 cruises a lot smoother, but I didn't have mag ride on the Corvette, it was always stiff, so that might not be a fair comparison. At the end of the day, if someone told you to choose, it'd be a win-win situation. |

butt dyno on FI cars make it seem faster I think, the Stingray is supposed to be just as fast I think in a straight line stock vs. stock (unless your M4 is tuned already). Curious how you feel about the sound of the M4 engine vs. stingray. I remember test driving a stingray and being very impressed with its stock exhaust note (and that start up growl was awesome!) |

Congrats and welcome to the Torque club. If you're satisfied with the power suspension and spacers would be the first recommendations. If you have questions or need help putting something together let me know! happy to help.
P.S. the garage looks awesome! |
