Does anyone know the difference between the below 2 options?

639 Complete Prep. Cellular Phone Usa/cdn

and

640 Car Telephone Preparation

And more specifically, do they both include Bluetooth?

Thanks!

639 COMPLETE PREP. CELLULAR PHONE USA/CDN - means you can switch out the center console door for one which accepts certain cell phones to fully integrate your phone, but I believe your car has 640 Car Telephone Preparation BT anyway so you really don't need this.

Do you have the telephone button on your steering wheel?

The reason I ask is my e90 (optioned 640) I cannot seem to find the Bluetooth settings in idrive, but mt e92 (optioned 639) I can easily navigate to it and connect my phone. Both have the telephone button.

That is odd. Are they both CCC iDrive?

It's very odd, triple checked again today, no bluetooth option in idrive.

I am baffled.....

640 is likely just preparation meaning the wiring is there but the TCU/control unit is not.

639 doesn't mean the car has a snap-in adaptor or baseplate.

So in all likely hood, my 640 optioned e90 just doesn't have bluetooth installed?
