Grinding noise at low speeds, seems to bog down

Hey whats up guys,

I drove from San Jose to Sacramento last night and as I was driving through the Sac neighborhood to my parents' house, I noticed a grinding noise at low speeds and it seemed like the car was feeling a little slow. I remembered Stevens Creek BMW telling me I'd have to get my spark plugs and my rear diff fluid replaced next time I service Veronica.

Could this be a wheel bearing issue or should I get my rear diff fluid filled up sooner than later? Im having EU Tech take a look at it on Friday.

Thoughts?

Rod bearings bro. I'll buy the car 10K cash, I'll spare you the misery.

Just change your diff fluid, and spark plugs since it's probably needed.

Doesn't sound like a wheel bearing to me. Possibly could be low diff fluid. I'd have it checked before Friday if possible to prevent damage.

Hmm ok. You dont think 25 miles worth of driving shouldn't pose much of an issue (job interview)?

I gotta hand it to you man, I remember you buying the car and having issues right off with the roof and more pieces. I'm surprised you're still hanging in

If it's low, it'd probably be ok. If it's out/leaking, you're gambling. It'll get hot really quick and could cause damage. This is all speculation.

likely diff fluid. real easy to change. just threw redline's fluid in mine last week for peace of mind even though it wasn't showing any signs. glad I did. may as well just start there and see if that takes care of it for ya.

Your username is Buff Slut and your car's name is Veronica. I think you need a new profile avatar, maybe something like this? Would be better if someone with some graphics software could throw in the word "Veronica" across the top in a sort of 80's pink font.

Mine does that. Just give it more gas. If it breaks then use warranty. If they don't cover it then burn out into a tree. Fuck it

Hmm it hasn't been grinding recently but I'll prolly have the diff fluid swapped this Saturday. Veronica is here to stay dammit. Love dropping that top in this California sunshine.

Btw, worst case scenario, how much would a new differential run me if hypothetically speaking, my warranty was voided?
