Dealerships
I know, I might get excoriated here but nevertheless.
Took my wife's 2008 Mercedes to Autozone to have them test the battery as it was slow cranking. According to them, battery was good, alternator was good and starter was not drawing too much current. Was going to roll the dice and buy their battery for $188 but thought better of it and took it to Sewell Mercedes. Sure enough it was the battery and not what I feared; a parasitic drain. I was relieved but not surprised as I place very little confidence in the nice guy at Autozone. Sewell charged me $167 for a battery and of course labor. Carl Sewell literally wrote the book on customer service and built his brand on that so if you go there you can expect awesome treatment. My point is this, yes there are plenty of crappy dealerships out there. I bring my M3 to a Sonic store and experience similar outstanding service. I know many on here refer to Dealerships as Stealerships etc but don't go to those, go to the good ones. There are many benefits to patronizing franchise dealerships. Sure sucks though when you get a bad one and I've been there too. |

I have had a mixed experience with the BMW and Audi dealerships here in South Florida, but Alpine Jaguar in Ft. Lauderdale has been superb with our Jaguar and Gunther VW has been great with our 2 Volkswagens.

The Bergstrom branded dealerships in Wisconsin are second to none when it comes to customer service.
I have nothing by great things to say about Bergstrom BMW (BMW of Appleton) and Bergstrom Audi. Their customer service in outstanding, they stand behind what they say/their products and charge reasonable prices.

$388 for an oil change at Open Road bmw in Edison NJ. Also $400 to replace a paddle shifter. I would love to find a competent and affordable dealer because there's neither by me

The first place I went to when looking for an M3 was Edison. They profiled me as young and didn't even let me test drive it. 7 years and 4 BMWs later, I've never gone back.

There is a BMW dealer less then three miles from my office. I have purchased two of my four BMWs from them. (Used). I had a few issues with the M3 right after I bought it. They treated me so badly, that I now refuse to go there for anything. I now drive an extra 30 miles to Gwinnett BMW when I need dealer services. (DIY or indy for most work.)
