No, prices have fallen and will be falling even faster in the near future. It won't be long before the m3 will hardly have any value other than for scrap metal...which is why I've undertaken a new business designed to assist fellow forum members who are freaking out. My associates will offer to purchase certain vehicles at 50% of the wholesale Black Book rate depending on scarcity, condition, upkeep, and overall curb appeal. We know we're being overly generous, but want to assist others as best we can...

I saw that too and that can't be right. It's maybe what a dealer would buy one for. Is it anyone from here?

I'm suspecting that there are engine issues. If you add the cost of a rebuilt engine it comes out right for a 2009 model with that number of kilometres.

I think quality well maintained examples will hold their value, they are last of the 2 door M3's after all.

The one on carsales looks like it's potentially had some damage/repair work done, front inner guard liner appears to be missing and the intake vent on the front bar is painted white, what the!

Ah so tempted to enquire... but it really does seem too good to be true.

Have seen prev import models that were cheap, but never THIS cheap.

Apparently, in Melbourne there has been several E9X M3 replica builds, where parts from writeoffs M3s have been built onto base model E9X body shells. Some years ago I purchased some M3 parts from a business Chicane Prestige, and when I discussed replica builds with him, the owner described that he had 'converted a few'. (full replicas where also the rear quarters are replaced).
If someone is selling a replica it should be priced a lot less, and such a car shouldn't be sold without informing about the history.
Also, cheap cars for sale could be genuine M3s but could have been repairable writeoffs, and the price should be less than unrepaired ones.
I guess some of the price drop on (genuine) E9X M3 is caused by the general financial down turn, and that the E9X model is starting to look 'old' in comparison with the newer M-models.
