Clicking stock CD player
After six months with the car I finally put a CD in my base BMW "Professional" radio/CD. The slot accepts the CD, but all it does is click repeatedly, no music, with any CD. A cleaning disc had no effect. The dealer wants to sell me a new head unit.
Any ideas what might be going on? Can it be fixed? If so, how? Or should I just find a used head unit? I'd like to keep the audio stock. Thanks for any advice...

Sorry there was no help. I suspect the vat majority are like me and use an iPod/iPhone/Android device to play music. Personally I've never even tried to insert a CD in my car! Good luck with the replacement unit!
