Heavily Loaded 2016, but with some hail damage
So i saw a pretty heavily optioned used 2016 x5 sdrive with hail damage on the hood and roof. Windshield and sunroof are okay.
Does anyone have any idea on the cost to fix/replace the body panels? Is it even worth looking into? it's a pretty substantial discount for a 2016. Thanks!

Is this a private sale? I would think any reputable dealer would invest the money to get it fixed and then sell for full price.
I'd also want to know what the title states - it there are notes related to the hail or salvage etc it might crush the resale value. I would still look into - take it for a drive to your local dealership and get an estimate to fix it. |

My MDX got hammered by a hail storm amd paintless dent removal guy got the whole thing done where you could not see it at all. Cost $800 and there were a lot of dents. when i traded it in the dealer said the car was perfect as any he had ever seen lol

Look into "Paintless Dent Removal",
I had hail damage and removed ALL 48 dings for $400

Many levels of damage - broken glass I'd stay away from as water likely entered the interior. Paintless dent correction wouldn't bother me especially if the vehicle is sold at a discount.

ya I'm not sure why people are so afraid of this. it's only cosmetic and the dealer would have already claimed it as a loss so they can sell it at a huge discount.
I would buy one hail damaged depending on how bad and what the price was. just take it to a pdr and see what they say. |
