Heavily Loaded 2016, but with some hail damage

So i saw a pretty heavily optioned used 2016 x5 sdrive with hail damage on the hood and roof. Windshield and sunroof are okay.

Does anyone have any idea on the cost to fix/replace the body panels?

Is it even worth looking into? it's a pretty substantial discount for a 2016.

Thanks!

My daughters RDX just got hit pretty heavy with hail damage in Colorado. Insurance estimate was $7500 to fix everything.

Is this a private sale? I would think any reputable dealer would invest the money to get it fixed and then sell for full price.

I'd also want to know what the title states - it there are notes related to the hail or salvage etc it might crush the resale value.

I would still look into - take it for a drive to your local dealership and get an estimate to fix it.

It's actually a dealer selling it. Not sure why they didn't get it fixed... he sent me pics it's just hood and roof, the glass is intact.

Why would a dealer sell a hail damaged 2016 vehicle? Don't they have insurance? I wouldn't walk away, I would run, big red flag.

Look into "Paintless Dent Removal",

I had hail damage and removed ALL 48 dings for $400

Dealers sell hail damaged vehicles all the time. In Texas, they regularly have hail sales.

Many levels of damage - broken glass I'd stay away from as water likely entered the interior. Paintless dent correction wouldn't bother me especially if the vehicle is sold at a discount.

ya I'm not sure why people are so afraid of this. it's only cosmetic and the dealer would have already claimed it as a loss so they can sell it at a huge discount.

I would buy one hail damaged depending on how bad and what the price was. just take it to a pdr and see what they say.
