Chipped Brake Pad

I picked up some open box Stoptech Sport rear brake pads for $15 on Amazon but there's a chip in one of them. Wondering if these are still safe or if I should return and get some brand new ones.

They're not some no-name $15 parts. As I said in my post, they are well known Stoptech Sport pads, previously known as Street Performance. I've used them on multiple cars and they're my favorite street pad. They were $15 because someone returned them and they were probably sitting in the warehouse for a while. Why should I spend $75 on something I can buy for $15?

Still have no clue what you're saying here. Amazon sells the exact same parts as every other retailer. They are also usually the cheapest and have the fastest shipping. Do you trust Stoptech?

I trust Stoptech but not Amazon and that's why your brake pads are chipped !

I had race pads chipped even more than these and had no problem on the track. For the street I wouldn't even worry about it.

Again, your opinion makes no sense. One pad is chipped because it was a discounted open box item, it has nothing to do with Amazon selling bad parts as you seem to think. They sell the exact same parts as everyone else. The minor damage was mentioned in the description and I figured I'd look at them in person and decide whether to put them on my car or return them. Amazon will gladly exchange them for a full price set if I choose to but I see no reason not to use them. Simple as that.
