What color is this?

I can't decide between avus blue or tanzanite blue but I am told this car is avus blue but to me it looks more like tanzanite????

Can anyone please help and tell me what color this is?

Tanzanite reminds me too much of monaco blue and I already have that color before and its a gorgeous color but want something new.

Why not just look at photo threads for others' cars rather than focusing in on a single picture which, as you've shown, can easily be manipulated to look like any shade of blue?

Pop up the hood and there is a plate indicate the individual color and leather on this car.

That car is Avus blue, not Tanzanite.. already confirmed by the dealer it seems.

What's up with some of the butthurt replies? I found the pics online and wanted to know......

It doesn't look avus to me at all more like tanzanite the thread I found the pics had the same problem but the thread was 3-4 years old before the car was out..... I thought people would have a better idea by now. The conclusion in the thread was the color is avus but it was 50/50 and from looking at avus in person and in other threads it looks different to me.

Some of you old men need to stick to taking viagra and keep pretending to be car enthusiasts instead of being keyword warriors.

(2 Avus Blue's - my car and M3NahRich. I used his car to decide on Avus Blue myself, with Sakhir Orange full interior. I freakin' love it! It is always blue but much shinier in the sun, darker in the shade. This vid is when the sun was hiding behind clouds, so only partial sun.)

Awesome post man really helped me a lot esp the videos. Tanzanite just as I thought....great color but only blue in sunlight it's very similar to Monaco.

Avus is the color for me.

The only video I couldn't get to play was the last one. If you could get that up and post some pics whenever you get the chance of the color in bright light and dusk/little light I'd appreciate that a lot!!

Okay, I replaced the shorter vid with a longer one that starts with the Tanzanite car and moves down the line until I get to the Avus Blue. You'll just have to bear with my non-professional vid skills!

Probably true for most colors - as far as the overcast look, anyway! Still looks good, though, and much richer than Tanzanite in low light. I had Estoril Blue II before this and loved it as well. It was brighter all the time but didn't have the depth this Avus Blue does. It's a great darker blue. Also had LeMans Blue previously and this is closer to that color but less purple hue. I've had more compliments on this color than my others, and they all got compliments! I love the ego stroke from BMW blues - it's the little things

Yea Tanzanite looks black in all but direct sunlight. I have EBII now. If I went Individual next time around it'd be a toss up between Avus and San Marino after seeing your pictures.
