Chap stick pulling color from dyed leather interior?
I noticed some chapstick on my fox red leather seats. It's been pretty hot here so I cleaned it up after a night in the garage. When cleaning the excess off with a damp paper towel, I noticed fox red smears on the paper towel.
Is this normal? |

Parts of my extended leather dash will transfer color to the towel when I use leather cleaner on it. Does not lighten the color on the dash, but worrisome nonetheless. I go easy on those areas.

If the chapstick has some alcohol in it (common), then yes, it may have leeched a little bit of dye out.

No dye transfer is ever normal. Either the chopstick had leather-unfriendly chemicals or your seat may have been touched up in the past.
