Decided to get rid of my 650i

I just found these pictures on a old SD card and got nostalgic and thought Id share.

1998 M3x4
God I loved this car. It was my first M car I bought it new after getting my first real job out of college. I did like 1000 autoX in this thing and it was tons of fun. Like a couple of my cars. I ended up selling it in 2010 (with only 30k miles) to buy cheap house. These are pictures when I sold it.

2001 M5
This was probably my favorite of all my bmws I've owned. I did so many road trips in this thing it's crazy. I remember walking to my car after work one Friday and just decided to drive west and see how far I got. Just to turn around half way through the weekend and drive back for work Monday Morning. I made to Denver from Atlanta GA. I got a hotel got a crappy room service hamburger slept for 4 hours and drove back. I had a really good time.

2006 M5
God this car was fast. It took me a while to learn to drive it right The SMG transmission was really quite challenging to drive right at low speeds. Once I got the hand of it this car was a rocket. My f80 is probably faster but it doesnt feel like it.

2013 650i
I really liked my 650i a lot. It didn't turn especially well due to it's size but it was like sitting inside a really good looking missle. I loved the seats and all the leather everywhere. It got tons of looks when I drove it around.

2016 M3
This car puts a smile on my face everyday, even if Im just sitting in traffic.
It feels a little bit econo boxy vs my 650i but its also a hell of a lot faster. BMW really just needs to stop putting all this plastic in their cars. This is my first BMW that kind of feels cheap on the inside. I mean the seats are awesome. The leather feels good but then I look or at the big plastic door and Im like man this looks like shit. Other than that it's a really nice car.

Here is a crappy parking lot picture

I've owned a lot of non BMWs but only a few are even worth mentioning. I've owned 2 P cars in the past and would love another one someday. Unfortunately I can find a photo of my 04 GT2 but a close runner up is the car I had before it. A 2002 996 Turbo. At the time everyone complained about the headlights. To this day there is a large faction that would say this is the ugliest 911 to have been made, I would disagree. I think the fried egg headlights are cool and really the only model that looks at all different. I think the 996 GT3, GT3 and the Turbo where beautiful, insanely fast and not weighed down with a bunch of electronic gadgets and crap. The lower specced 996 had some engine issues but the Turbo and GT2 where rock solid.

God I love P cars and still do. Especially the GT2 I have so many memories. I drove my wife to the hospital to have our first child in it. You know to get there fast I put a towel on the seat just in case the baby came out or something.

Here's my 2002 Turbo

I've had a few other BMWs but cant seem to find pictures. I still have a grey market 1989 525i imported from Japan. It has cloth interior and looks brand new. I'm too lazy to walk outside and take photos. I also had a 2008 135i which was a really fun car. I remember buying it because it was so small and really fast.

Thanks for sharing. What happened to the 650? Looks like a complete rollover.

Someone ran a stop sign in front of me i tried to swerve but caught their bumper and flipped. I was inly going about 35 mph but i hit them at that speed without braking at all. I kicked the drivers side window out climbed out of the car without a scratch and the other guy got a ticket.

This is all kinds of awesome! Had a similar pleasure myself so I can appreciate the awesomeness of this.

I love your covered driveway. I'm guessing you have a garage too? Mines so far back I don't always like parking in my garage, but the sun beats down on my driveway most of the day.

Nice. Agree with you on the E39 M5. Too bad you got rid of the GT2...why (if I may ask)?

Damn, man that's an M-azing car line up there! If I could have had the same car history the only cars I'd add, would be an e30 and e46 M3s. And that e39 M5 is like a kryptonite of mine. I've been looking for a clean one for a very long time and at the end bought an e46 M3. But to this day the e39 M5 is my favorite M car.
