Anyone do a resonator delete with an OEM exhaust or ACM mod?

I have the ACM mod done on my car and I love the sound but want it a bit louder, has anyone removed their resonator in combination with an OEM exhaust or ACM mod? curious to learn about the outcome

I would probably go for a primary cat delete instead. Pretty sure resonator delete will make it a lot raspier,(witch is a good thing if that s what your going for).
Just my 2cents worth

Appreciate the input, I'm part of the minority that sort of like rasp actually so that may work and I don't want to mess with the cats due to smog regulations in California

Sounds like a good option then, I have heard some with the setup your wanting and from memory they get a little louder with some more rasp to them.
Good luck!

I had resonator delete and 4 pipe oem mod. Sounded good down low, but anything above 4K was ridiculously raspy. To the point that I would avoid revving past 4K.

I added resonators back on and the sound is 10x better thru the entire band and did not lose any noticeable volume

oh yikes.. that makes me rethink my decision.. still keeping my fingers crossed that maybe someone here has a video of what the sound is like before/if I do it

I just did the resonator delete last weekend and have the EAS OEM modded muffler and it sounds amazing. During normal driving, it is subtle but under open throttle sounds like a beast.

Was it raspy like an e46 m3? As much as I love the look of the e46 and everything that goes with it, the raspy exhausts I hear around here never sounded good to me. To each their own I suppose.

I personally thought it was super over the top raspy. I'm a big fan of how 4 pipe mod sounds by itself, and didn't see much value in keeping the resonators off.

If looking for more volume/sound, I'd go primary cat route or test pipes

I had the ACM Mod/Resonator delete for a few months. It wasn't that loud, but just didn't sound good to me (I liked how it sounded until I got test pipes and realized how much better it could sound). Now I have a ACM mod muffler and a catless x-pipe and it sound insane, so much better. I'd definitely recommend getting test pipes over a just a resonator delete. I have a few sound clips of the ACM/resonator delete if you want any
