Normal Engine Noise in 1st and 2nd Gear?

Hello everyone,

I have finally sorted out all the rattles in my 17 F80 ZCP DCT.

Now, I feel like I am listening to engine and it's nuances.

I have noticed that in first and second gear, under light acceleration, like driving through a neighborhood or drive through line, the engine sounds like clanky and unrefined. Is it normal for the engine to sound so labored in those low gears under light acceleration? I mostly notice it with the windows rolled up. When I roll the windows down I just hear the normal s55 clatter. Am I losing my mind?
