Takata Bankruptcy

Got a large postcard in the mail announcing the Takata Chapter 11 bankruptcy. I'm surprised they didn't do this a year ago when their world came crashing down on their heads (or in this case...their face).

this doesn't give BMW an out. they still have to resource or find a way to get us new airbags regardless of supplier.

Takata filed for bankruptcy earlier this year around June I believe. Got one of those letters in the mail soon afterwards...still got my airbag replaced this year in September. I wouldn't worry...BMW still has to replace your airbag.

I got a couple earlier. You cannot join the class unless you have suffered loss or injury as a result of an airbag deployment.

Mine was done two Saturday's ago. The wait to get the airbag replaced was many times longer than was the seven month purchase-to-drive-home timeframe . Should I be impressed with customer service?
