New member: 2018 AW on SO ZCP + 6 spd

Hey everyone, finally had my M3 delivered after purchasing out of state. Thanks to M3fury for helping out an internet stranger by checking the car out at the dealership.

This is my first M3, but I've driven an e46 and used to own a 987 Cayman S. I've been car-less driving the wife's TSX for the past 5 years.

The first thing that came to mind when I drove it was, "man the internet is full super picky people!" The ride is amazing and refined. You guys that think it's too stiff need to drive a sports car. The 6 speed is really very good. It's a unique feel compared to a 911, but sooo much better than the e46 transmission. I used to also own a celica gts and it was nearly impossible to keep it in the powerband, but its so easy to stay in the powerband. There's no on/off boost feeling w/ the transmission and its ratios. I love the gunmetal 666m wheels, they look great with a gradient of darkness from center to edges. It's a fantastic car, really everything I was hoping for for this stage of my life.

Thanks guys for the welcome and compliments. Sat in 1.5 hours of unusually congested traffic and it was fine w/ the manual. The auto start/stop takes some getting used to. Not sure if it's worth it in stop and go traffic.

amazing how the leather starts sagging on these seats. My new car will most likely be with cloth seats next

Yes! Not having the circles on the bumper is a Nice bonus. Although I probably still would have bought it if it came with the executive package only because it was so hard to find an mt.

AW with the ZCP trim and LCI headlights is such a killer combo. So glad I went with it, I was really starting to second guess myself during the eternal wait, but knew I did it right the instant I saw my F80 for the first time. Took but a millisecond!
