BRAND New F80 M3 owner

Hi guys-

Just wanted to introduce myself. I joined this forum back in 2011 when I bought my M3 vert. I'm back in an M3 and I'm really liking this car! What a ride! This is my "family" car. I'm lucky enough to have a 911 when it's not freezing out too. This thing is kind of mental and that's what I love about it. It's a real MAN car if you know what I mean. A little mean and edgy and an absolute blast to drive.

I went to my dealer to talk about another car and saw this Silverstone fresh off the truck car in the garage. Not on the website yet and not even washed yet and I knew I had to have it. Bought it right there. Lot's of carbon bits to set off from the bluish silver paint.

Dylan at Motorworks gave me a really great deal. He's a real pro and just nice guy. Totally recommend.

Just wanted to say hi! Here are a few shots.

Nice. Love that color combination was my favorite on the E46, though at that time it was called Titanium Silver compared to the new Silverstone. Silver and black, can't go wrong there.

M performance CF diffuser and spoiler look great too. Now all you need are the front CF splitters and front lip

And painted front reflectors to get rid of that nasty orange and you're all set.

Yes, but it's close enough to me. Light metallic silver on black.

Even if they do call it an "exclusive" //M color

Congrats on the new M3. She's beautiful!

BTW, has anyone ever mentioned that you look a little bit like Burt Reynolds?

They are actually quite different. Silverstone is a very dynamic colour that has highly reflective elements in the paint the capture surrounding colours. Under artificial light, it looks bright silver. Under a blue sky, it takes a light blue hue. At sunset or sunrise, it will have a gold/sand hue. Park in a forest or under a tree, a greenish hue will appear. Look at the E92 in my avatar and the F82 in my signature, both are Silverstone. Titanium silver does not do that .

Don’t give him bad advice. Looks great as is. Cf bits will give the front end a chinless look aka pointless.

Awesome color combo. Ti silver was also a fav e46 color.

Yes, I'm not arguing that it's different. That's the closest thing to my e46 M3's Titanium Silver in the recent color lineup and that's all I was referencing. Silverstone is closer to me to the Titanium Silver in the past than Glacier Silver is on the standard 3/4 series.

But I appreciate the color lesson. Neat nonetheless how it changes depending on the dynamic.

You get the big picture. Others are stuck in semantics.
