What is this piece called?

I'm trying to order a new part. The tab behind it broke and now my wife is complaining that every time she pushes the unlock button that it's too loose. I'd like to order the part, but the damn dealership is giving me a hard time. SMH. If anybody can help me figure out what this part is called, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,
Jeffrey

Well, I hope the tab won't break installing it vs pulling it off. We shall see

How does it get broken in the first place during normal use? Pressure from pushing the lock/unlock buttons?

I brought my car to get the CA fixed on the driver side handlebar and I guess when they removed the door panel that the tab broke and didn't bother to tell me about it.

Suck!!!! Hope you can remove and install the new part without taking the panel apart. Otherwise... back to the shop that reconnected your CA wire and have them install for free.

The broken piece that's still on the panel can be easily removed. I don't think the tab will break when I push the new part back into the panel. I believe it broke when they removed it.

exactly, that tab is almost guaranteed to break if you remove that trim piece. and that trim piece needs to be removed to take off door panel.

Just as a thought, did you ask your dealer to replace it under warranty?

I once had a situation when my rear passenger door did not fully shut after my kid exited and I reached across and tugged on the door handle to fully shut the door, and to my surprise the handle broke off. I called my CA and he fixed it under warranty.
