Transfer F30 iDrve to our cars?
I drove my father in-law's 328 and it has a pretty sweet iDriva screen and capability. It showed the album are while streeming Spotify via BT.
Has anyone found a use it and is it even possible to put in our cars? Thanks.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

Do some Google search to see if you're up to the task. Requires a lot of coding. Or another option is to get a whole kit: http://www.bimmerretrofit.com/store/...product_id=117

What did you get installed and what features does it have of the newer headunits? Not sure I want to change out the iDrive screen. .

Search CIC vs NBT and I'm sure you'll get lots of info. Keep in mind the total parts cost of the swap will more than likely cost you around $1500-2000 unless you have a hookup on parts.
