DCT Diff Fluid part #

First of all, I know this post is in the wrong section but I didn't get any responses in the service/maintenance forum (I guess not too many people head over there) so I'm posting it here in the hopes of an answer. For those of you who have a DCT and have had the 1200 mile service done or know the answer to the following question:

My dealership told me that the "Final-drive gear OI 83-22-282-583" listed on my invoice was the correct differential fluid for my car. Can anyone confirm that this is the correct diff fluid for DCTs? What does your invoice list as the part number for the diff fluid? I searched this part number and I guess this was the fluid for e46 M3's (and past BMWs with LSD). Thanks in advance.

Don't know what difference it makes whether your car has DCT or not. Has nothing to do with the differential. Sorry, I wasn't helpful on your specific question re the part #, but don't confuse the issue. Differential fluid is supposed to get changed at 1200 mile service and it doesn't matter whether it is DCT or 6MT.
