Full Wrap or Standard ClearBra?
For those who have a full wrap. Do you regret getting that, if you had to do it again, would you just get the standard 24".
and does your full wrap go around the edges smoothly? I have heard that its very hard to do a full hood and have it wrap around the edges.

It's a full custom job and my installers said they stretch the film to it's fullest capacity. I do have a slight edge at the end of the my hood closest to the windshield that you can feel but you dont see it. FYI...Here's their website. http://www.premiermobilegroup.com/ They do an amazing job. I believe they only in CA though. |

Full wrap is a must...especially with the powerdome. No problems with wrapping the edges. Most can't even tell the hood has film on it.

Good luck finding someone in Virginia who will do a full wrap. I tried and failed so I have partial coverage. If you find anyone in the area, let us know.

Do the full, the line across the hood is something you dont want. My buddy with a lighter colored car started to see dirt building up along that edge....
P.S. I have heard calling some of the higher end car dealers like Aston, Ferarri, or Porsche in your area is a good way to get some good shop names.... Jason

I have found 2 shops in Northern VA ready to do a full front wrap. Both are Ventureshield dealers.
One shop is Raja who comes highly recomended on E90 post and the other is LeeHigh AutoBody in Herndon. My neighbor had his car done at LeeHigh and the job was awesome.

Full wrap here...very pleased.....I crack up when people look at my car, don't see any lines, and tell me I should invest in a clear bra..lol.

if you are willing to pay do the full. if money is an issue do the partial. partial coverage protects most of the critical 'high collision areas. full definitely looks better though.

I have to drive 5-10 minutes for a place to do the partial... or 3 1/2 hours for the full. On nice rocky highways.

i don't think it's a dumb question, maybe just a n00b question. but i don't know the answer either. it's the one thing that is making me hesitate on getting the clear bra is that i don't know what the implications are regarding properly detailing the car once it has a clear bra. 1. does a clear bra in any way dull the luster of the paint? 2. do you apply clay bars and any other detailing products on the clear bra? 3. are there known issues with the clear bra "yellowing" over time due to exposure to the elements and/or detailing products? 4. what happens to the paint under the clear bra relative to the paint that is not protected by the clear bra areas? e.g. is there color fading, etc? |

No, my detailer right now just does what he normally does and at the end he puts on a coat of polymer in the end. He actually likes detailing the car with the bra on the car, says it is much easier.
