HELP Is this a bad wheel bearing ?!
This sound is awful. The video doesn’t do it justice, also I have noticed my DCT tranny to be a bit louder these days when coming to a stop. Any body have any ideas ? It’s like a on and of constant sound at slow speeds. Seems to come from front right side. You can clearly hear it at the end of the video. Almost like a farting sound lol.

You may want to check shield around the rotor .... I had similar sound when driving slowly due to rock debris was caught between rotor and shield, I had to take off wheel and use a crowbar to wedge it open and It fell out. The grinding is very audible at low speed...and it did cause some vibration at high speed.

Bad Wheel bearings usually make a whining noise, not a squishing sound like in your clip. And you would not hear it at very low speeds.

Pull the wheel off and make sure nothing is wedged in between the rotor and shield or anything in there. If you've got a pressure washer, crank it up and go nuts on the area. Rubber from the track caught up against the brake shield has caused this (1st video) noise before for me. |
