2018 M3 Imola Red / Black Interior

Hello, I purchased 2018 M3 Imola Red / Black interior today. I have a question about extended warranty. While I was signing the paperwork, I got the extended warranty for 7 years for $3675 plus tax and i can cancel anytime within 30 days. Should I keep this or cancel? I'm planning to keep the car for 5 years and I thought If I'm selling the car after 5 years, having an extended warranty will be better for the buyer and helps to sell car faster?

What do you guys think?

Thank you!

I'm not so sure you can transfer that warranty to a "new" buyer down the road. I would check on that. Personally I wouldn't get the extended warranty. I know that in my situation the car will be gone by then and it would be a waste of money. Good luck

If you are only planning to keep the car for 5 years then I would ditch the extended warranty as you will only be using a portion of it and will only get pennies on the dollar if it is indeed transferable.

If warranty is transferable, it's worth it if you want to sell it earlier to a new buyer imo.

I would cancel it. I don't see a buyer caring that much.

Hello,

I was told that it is transferable. I just need to pay the transferable fee of $25.00. Financial advisor was explaining to me how expensive M3 parts if something goes wrong with the engine, etc... Thanks for the responses.

Anyone can get an aftermarket warranty at any point
You already have a rare individual color, I think that would be enough to help you sell the car in 5 years.

Congrats on the new purchase! Some buyers care about the extended warranty, and others really couldn't care less, so I'd say go with whatever you''d feel comfortable with. Personally, I wouldn't get the extended warranty as the car would be gone well before the end.

What? The finance manager tried to sell you something that gives them a far greater profit margin % than the car? I am astonished!

Ditch it. Not worth it.

Yep. Car has a warranty. You can decide later if you want to extend it. Return

Love the F80 in Imola, especailly with the dark ZCP wheels.

I'd save the $3675 and spring for a couple gallons of paint for the garage walls. With the money left over, you can purchase a few mods (or one expensive one) to personalize your M even further.

Enjoy the new ride!

In my opinion if you're keeping the car five years, keep the service contract. It's one of those it's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

Yup, Finance manager tried for other packages as well, but didn't get it... and I got this one because I can cancel within 30 days and wanted to do some research and decide.

Thanks!

Nice color!
Keep the warranty, because it's high maintenance vehicle,it will pay off in those extra 3 years, plus it's easier to sell car with warranty.
Have fun with car.
