cool. They were filming car testing at the El Toro Marine Base a few weeks ago. I had to clean up part of their test track when I setup a PCA autox the next day.

rally champion and drift racer? hahahaha... at least Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond are fun to watch, even though they know shit about cars! Even that dude, James May, with his classic "taste" gets on my nerves. If any show is worth watching, it's Fifth Gear, with Tiff Needle Vicky Henderson and Jason Plato (not even Tom Ford).. At least all of them are professional racers (or have been)... but, granted that show, all they do these days is drifting... what happened to the good old days, when you had a thorough, harsh, and passionate review of cars and a kick ass drive around a real track.. now I have to watch ex formula one mystery Stig take it around an abandoned airport!

btw, i didnt mean to come off harsh on you, it just pisses me off to see that we are losing real auto reporters to jokers with no talent...

yes with Adam Corrola... prior to the announcement a while back I didn't even know he was into cars. we'll see how he does, hopefully good. UK Top Gear always has really good cinematography and dialog so we'll see how the US version compares

They tried to get Jay but he declined. He said that it will tarnish (sort of) the original one.

Oh please... 5th gear is such a lame ripoff of TopGear it isn't funny. Nothing original or creative about it. I tried watching it, but it was so boring and pathetic I gave up on it. Perhaps the hosts on TopGear aren't experts, but they are passionate enthusiasts with personality and wit. For TV I'll take entertaining over "expert" copycats any day.
