Another New Owner - E90
Like many of us late adopters, I have been lurking here for awhile. So at least I won’t ask about rod bearings! Recently picked up a Le Mans Blue, 2011 (wait...2011.75 ) E90 Comp w/ DCT. She has 33k miles, and I purchased her from the original owner out of Washington state. Always dealer maintained w/ records, all original, and generally very well looked after. This fills an M3 ownership void for me, as I have never owned an E9x, yet have owned every other one sans the E30. My path here over the past 2 yrs was pretty random, since I sold a 2017 F80 Comp 6mt and its successor, a 2018 RS3 to ultimately end up in the E90. I purchased both new and sold the M3 because it wasn’t for me and the Audi out of need. I won’t say anything disparaging about the F80...they are excellent cars, but I just haven’t been able to connect with the latest Ms. I was smiling immediately in the E90 getting a dose of that steering feel, the V8 sound with the inconel MPE, etc....it has the attributes that just scratch the itch for what I seek in an M car. I am extremely happy with it, even as my first non-manual M which gave me some uncertainty (purchased without even driving one). It’s my daily, and the DCT plays damn nice in that role. Thanks for all the great info here and the excellent DIYs that already have me planning some maintenance!

NICE! That's an all-American collection right there... at least in terms of colors!

Thank you. It’s a 2011 Boxster Spyder...6mt, carbon fiber buckets, PSE, sport chrono, etc..I adore it; about as pure a driving experience as you can get for the money. 3k miles, need to use it more!

Great intro post and pictures! Welcome to the club.
Out of curiosity, what is the paint code when you look up your VIN? Your car looks like Interlagos Blue to me (A30) although LMB and IB are really hard to differentiate in some lights. |

When VIN decoding, it comes back as LEMANSBLAU METALLIC (381) You can see it better in photos during my paint correction and ppf install (please excuse my nasty winter wheels...Minnesota life when doing daily duty).

*casually posts intro thread without mentioning 1M or R8 or Porsche GT car in background*
Your lift arrangement is giving me ideas. Not for a car purchase so much as I just need one in the next house.

This is my first home where I installed a lift. I wish I had more ceiling height, but in addition to car storage, it has been helpful on a couple exhaust jobs, like installing Fabspeed headers on the Porsche. Highly recommended!
