Exclamation My 2015 M4 makes a ticking noise (video attached)

I don't know what happened exactly with my car - first time encountered this kind of problem. Anyone else had the same noise before? Should I take the car to the dealership?

I think the noise is not from the engine, must be somewhere else, I posted the vid of engine, I feel it’s normal, but when you stay inside of the car you can hear the abnormal sound like metal sound

I do hear the ticking. Some people say this is normal and it is either the valve lifters or the high pressure fuel pumps. I am not one of those that believe these kind of sounds are normal for a car at this price range just because BMW has a “bad” reputation with engine ticking noises.

Take it to the shop and have them look at this.

Also check the logical things first such as is there enough oil in the engine? Did you recently replaced the oil or when was it replaced? Does this happen only after a cold start? Did the temperature drop where you live that might explain this?

A vid with the hood open and closer to the engine would be much more beneficial.

Yes, I just replaced the engine oil recently, but it has been weeks . It stays all the time whenever I start the engine tho , not only in cold start

There is no problem. My E46 M3 and the E90 M3 made similar ticking noises.

Also check that it is not the clutch of the A/C compressor. Open the hood and try to isolate from where the sound is coming and post a new video.
