DSC and MDM

First of all, what does MDM stand for? And what is MDM anyway?

Secondly, when should DSC be turned off? If I'm having fun with a Mustang at a stop light, should DSC be turned off if I want maximum acceleration throughout the entire quarter mile?

2. DSC should be off any time you are driving in such a way that having it on would hinder the car’s performance. A drag race is one example of such a situation, yes. You should obviously use caution when you have it off (especially on public roads where other drivers are present) because the safety system will no longer be able to save you should you begin to lose control.
