X5 35d engine temp

What should the engine temperature be at on a 2014 x5 35d I’m currently running at 155* . I’m thinking that’s a bit low at a idle my Vw run around 190*

Where are you getting your engine temperature from? If you are looking at the small gauge on the far right of your instrument cluster...that's not engine temperature.

The little icon reveals what temp is being measured...if its a thermometer sticking out of an oil tin...that gauge is your OIL TEMP. If the icon is a thermoter sticking out of wavy lines (representing water)...that is your engine COOLANT gauge.

Again, where are you getting this 155° F temperature from...an app or software...or from the far right gauge on your cluster?
