Is there any way to recalibrate or recode the speedo?
I purchased a used 2015 with 19x9.5 and 19.10.5 Vorsteiner wheels. They are sporting 275x30 & 295's x 30's. Well I've taken it to work a few times and knew traffic wasn't going nearly as fast as the speedo was indicating so I checked it on my GPS and it's running about 5 mph faster than my true speed. Is there any fix to this apart from getting 35 series tires?

It is a legal European requirement for speedometers to read more than the actual real speed, I think it is between 0 and 10 % + 5 kph or something like that.
And yes, it is possible to code out this feature and have the speedometer indicate real GPS speed. Not sure if it works for the dial or just the digital readout in the middle of the instrument cluster (if you have it turned on).

Every BMW I have owned is 3-5 mph above true speed. Might spare you a ticket some day

Easily coded out both on the analog speedo and the digital readout as well.

Super duper dumb question of the day here: if your speedometer is running high, does your odometer suffer the same fate? Does putting larger wheels/tires on the car make the car think more miles are being put on it? Slag away lol.

Interesting side effect - I coded out the speed offset in order to show true vehicle speed. However, this resulted in the car running exactly 1mph off (can't remember above or below) the target speed when using cruise control. Frustrated me to see the numbers not match infinitely more than I ever cared about the true vs indicated speeds matching.
