M3 E93 leather manufacturing defect?
I waited a good 6 weeks to get my hands on this newly built car and once it finally arrived I was dissapointed with a couple defect in the stitching of the leather.
Attached is a picture of what i'm talking about, i'm talking with my dealership to get it fixed. It's only like this on the left corner of the front passenger seat. Did anyone have similar issues? and what steps did you take to fix it? Is it the dealership's responsibility to get this fixed? Last edited by n3wtonian; 09-13-2008 at 12:36 PM.. |

I'm not even sure I know what you're talking about in the pic.
Leather's never going to be absolutely perfect, so a few extra folds or whatever or a strange/different looking piece of leather is normal.

Well I can understand that leather is imperfect but out of all the 4 seats and (4*2) 8 corners, this is the only place where it looks really messed up...
I'm not trying to be anal about this but it's quite noticable in person Last edited by n3wtonian; 09-13-2008 at 06:11 PM.. |

Wow. Don't trip over that. If I posted my seats you'd have a heart attack.

Guys, the portion in question is at the bottom of the screen, slightly left of center. It looks like a dog chewed it up!
Definitely get that fixed.

Hard to tell from the picture, but if that's the case, that's different. That's more than just a little character... that's damage.

Are you guys kidding? Take a look! Bring it back and tell them to replace it!
If I paid that kind of money for a car, or a $10,000 car, the same thing would apply. Fix the thing. end of story. |

Me too. The OP needs to take an actual photograph of the actual alleged defect and with a scale. Don't grow up to be a lawyer, please.
(... although I now see that you have another post about an ink mark on the dash and are threatening legal action. Cool your jets, my friend. You sound anxiety ridden.) |
