Here is some ammo for you all if you need to convince the Mrs.'s that coupes can be good cars to have with little kids:

Also, much easier to reach back and whip your kids as they are much closer to you in a coupe.

My kids always enjoyed the "passenger compartment" on my E93. The convenience of the extra doors is only realized by an adult mind.

We have three grandkids and they love riding in the M3. It's loud and raucous. The back seat of our e92 M3 can accommodate two child seats and the kids can be extracted easily. The secret is to lock the front seat in the full forward position, at least with the manual seats found in my "stripper".

BTW- My first child came home from the hospital in a 911T but in her mama's arms. Such things were allowed in 1977.

All day everyday since my oldest was 1 - she's 8 now. They complained a couple of times after my wife got her 7 seat suv but soon shut up after a few 0 to 60 sprints.

M3 is an awesome kid car! My oldest daughter (5) prefers we run errands in the M3 instead of mommy's car or truck and this is her opinion and not me forcing coolness on her lol. The only reason a person would not consider it a kid friendly car would be sports car stigma, laziness getting them buckled in or OCD owner protecting their leather from gogurt and French fries. I used to get a kick out of seeing my girls brace themselves for turns

My back seats are flawless. I cant bear to mess them up by shoving a child seat back there. Mine will be able to ride back there when they don't need a car seat.

I'm keeping the car forever. No reason to mess up the interior in the rear for a few years, and then have to see the damage forever.
