M4 Production
Hey everyone,
I recently had to part with my m4 because of a bad crash, and after some deliberation decided to get a new one. Not only can I not get behind that G22 grille.. I just think that down the line this car will remain special, at least in my eyes. I just really like the look of it, and though the interior is a bit dated it has charm, with the speedo meter not being digital and all that. Now I was wondering if anyone knew whether the M4 has gone out of production everywhere? It would seem it's not being produced in Europe anymore but I was wondering about the USA and any other country? Is it still possible to order a custom one or should I look into buying second hand? Thank you in advance for any insight provided |

My bad, I called my dealer and they clarified that the USA only produce X cars, and that the M Division is done with the M4. I’d archive this post but not sure how to.

To be fair, that does not show up very easily on the mobile app. Still, I think that lots of us here assume the USA is the only country in the world and that's probably a good learning lesson - we aren't

You might not be the center of the world but you do have so pretty darn good forums! I guess I’ll start looking through non BMW dealerships, perhaps have one get their hands on some USA car so as to avoid that god awful OPF. Thanks everyone! |

The Regensberg plant that produces the M4 is currently scheduled to reopen May 4th. As far as I can tell, they are producing the Heritage edition and the remaining sold customer ordered BMW Exclusive M4's. My car and another member's from the U.K. were originally scheduled to be finished the last week of April- the end of production. Looks like delivery in July now?

Makes sense that the March/April production is moved to May/June, as EOP was June, and therefore no more additional orders.

It was a complete rumor for at least the US market. Production has stopped for the coupes and there are only a few convertible builds left (not all have competition).

I'm waiting for a F83 competition build from a Group A dealership, as my current F83 lease is up end of September. If no build production allocation is available, I'm sure BMW FS will just extend my current lease for an other year at the same terms and I'll order a G83 when available. Highly doubt there will be significant demand for a G83 competition build.

Not true regarding a 12 month extension, as I have had two of these in the past waiting for the all new model for market launch. I'm 110% certain with my leasing history with BMWFS I would have no problem. Over on the fest, it's been mentioned that BMWFS is allowing 6 month extensions up from 2 months with no production number.
