Does anyone run MHD Stage 1
Does anyone run MHD stage 1, used the search function but couldn't find much in the F15 section.
I was originally going for MPPK, but the cost vs MHD is significantly more, plus I am out of warranty so I'm leaning towards MHD. I don't plan on adding any bolt ons and just looking for more power, but want to keep things reliable and this seems like it fits the bill. I like that you can flash the dme through my phone using their WiFi connector and can flash back to stock if I need to bring the car into service (I have a aftermarket warranty) Any feedback is appreciated Thanks! |

Yes, I recently flashed my 35i with MHD Stage 1, for the same reasons you are considering. I love it. Half the cost of the mppk with a bit better performance. Definitely get the wireless adapter. The first flash only took 2.5 minutes, and flashes to change options only takes 20 seconds.
Highly recommend MHD. |

The DME i-step level determines if your DME is locked...if you haven't been in to the dealer for any major work that would require them to re-code the DME, you may be OK. You can download and run the MHD app and connect with a cable, or wireless adapter, and the app can tell you if the DME is locked.

I've used MHD for years on my N54 335i without any issues, Martial and Ken are great guys that know what they're doing. Go for it, best bang for the buck.

will try to visit a tuning shop. Got a quote of $250 to unlock dme... extra $$ I don’t want to spend. With my luck I probably have it locked since I did mppk last fall.. |

How many kms have you folks been running stage 1? I've had 3 vehicles with increased torque and throttle response from a tuning box and a reprogram. Both ended up with stuck EGR valves and clogged manifolds around 150,000 - 200,000 kms. Since i had to take them into a mechanic, it cost over a thousand dollars.
