Coolant overflow hose o-ring

Hey everyone,

I need a new O-ring for the coolant overflow hose that plugs into the thermostat housing. P/n 11537838219

I looked up the part but the drawings don’t list the o-ring as a separate part. Does anyone know what size it is or has anyone had to replace it before?

I think what happened is that the o-ring sheered when I replaced the thermostat because the hose was never removed before since the car was manufactured.

You need the whole hose. The rest of it is broken off inside of the water pump housing.. use a lag screw to thread it in there and pull it out.

The hose is intact, but the o-ring has slightly sheered but enough to cause a very slow leak. See attached pic.

Same thing happened to me. Replaced whole hose. Around $50 I believe

Whole hose - and best to do both sides.

Had this happen to me and it was caught by my M3 mechanic. Not too expensive and good to replace.

No O-rings or individual parts available, just the hose.
