Parcel Shelf & Trim query

Hi all

Recently bought myself a 2016 X5 40d, unfortunately it didn't come with a parcel shelf and so i am looking to source one.

Does anyone know if the E70 parcel shelf is the same part as i have seen some on eBay saying for both the F15 and E70?

Also i have searched but cant find a video or written guide on taking out the centre console side trims? I have found one for the centre console trim in the middle, but i have the brushed aluminium side trims and it has taken some stick it seems with lots of marks so was thinking of replacing or covering existing ones. However i am after a guide to assist with the removal?

Thanks

Not sure about trunk cover, I though it was different for F15.
Here is the guide on removing these panels here:

You can look up the BMW 11 digit part nbr for the "rear cargo cover" to see if it is compatible between two different generation X5s. You'll probably find out that they use two different part nbrs...thus two different covers that don't fit.

If they did fit/work in both platforms...then they'd have the same part nbr.

If you're unfamiliar with any online part database sites...here's 3 of my favs...feel free to save them for future reference. Click the links below, then enter the last 7 digits of your VIN (this will make the site's specific to your BMW's build date/production date). You can click on the 11 digit BMW part nbrs...and the sites will reveal what other BMW models use the same part nbr:
  1. www.realoem.com
  2. http://bimmercat.com
  3. www.bmwfans.info
