Is my car acting up or am I expecting more from it ?
Okay so a list of mods I have currently:
Test pipes Eisennman race exhaust Stage 2 tune from Alex at alpine. ISC coiloivers I recently swapped out my thermostat due to getting a fault code on it. Put everything back together and took it around the block to make sure all was good. Temperatures were reading high (compared to before). Put some more coolant in. Added some oil. Cleared my temp sensor code and now my temps are back to normal. Finally managed to get an empty highway and first time I’ve ever tested 60–130. I used my OBD reader and OBD fusion app on my iPhone. My 60-130 time ..... wait for it ...... 15.87 seconds Ughhhhhh isn’t a stock e92 running just under 12 or in the 12s? I’m at 3300ft above sea level so I probably lose 40hp right?? So is it my odb app that is shit and it’s not reading properly or is my car fucked and something is causing it to lack some power ? I should probably get it dynod right ? Just hoping someone else is around the 3000ft altitude that can chime in on their 0-60 or 60-130 stats Thanks |

I remember doing 60-130 stock DCT in Houston (sea level) at just over 11 seconds, and in El Paso (3800 ft) at just over 12. Both were done in dry conditions with temps around 60 F. Are you DCT or manual?

Simple things like old spark plugs can cost a lot of power. The S65 is super sensitive to plugs thanks to also using them for knock detection.

Yeah I ran my plugs way past the interval (over 2x... I know, I know) and when I swapped them the car was very different. Realistically, probably not THAT different, but I could definitely tell, and so could my fiancee who is not a car person at all. The startup was a lot smoother, felt a little less thready generally in the cold and in the heat when standing on it, but that's probably because the knock detection was a lot better. Never making that mistake again. I'm sure a lot of this is butt dyno but it's always a good thing to keep on that maintenance, as you note we do not have knock sensors other than the plugs. They're pretty important to the engine.

your car is running like a wet dog, get someone with a workshop tool to check combustion quality. it could be a range of things, plugs, fuel pump, tired 02 sensors...
furthermore you said temps were high, how high?
