13k Miles 2008 Alpine White M3 on BAT, what she's worth?

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2008-bmw-m3-126/

What do you guys think would be a realistic price for this car? Local to me, interested... looks great from pics, but it may be that maintenance is not up to date, looks like the car was last registered in 2016.

How much maintenance is needed for a car that's been driven about 1000 miles a year and sitting for 4 years?

I think this m3 will sell for $40k-$45k.

It'll need new tires, fluids should be flushed and I'd do the rodders too..

If it's really been sitting for 4 years, hoses , rubber seals would need to be looked at as would the battery. Question is - why has it not been registered since 2016?? Unused M3s can be surprisingly expensive to get to baseline , let alone mod ...

I have no idea about why it sat... seller mentioned it was stored, but registration stickers clearly showed 2016. 40 to 45k plus BAT fees plus all the things this car would need would put it out of my price range.

I think it's worth low 30's but someone will overpay for it. That interior/exterior color combo isn't very appealing.

Actually, I disagree with what I said, 35 max...

We have a supercharged one here @ 39000 miles for 36k. The question is how much value is added by the low miles. I also agree with Sam regarding the interior/exterior. If I bought it it would be driven and wouldn't put too much value on 13 vs 39 on the miles

I'm thinking it'll go for low-mid 30's. I think the 2008's have a stigma associated w/ them. All else being equal, I think 2009 3-5k more.

Sorry man, the owner needs a good head exam. A 12 year old car with 12K miles? such a bummer. How often did he change the oil? every 3-5 years @ 1K per year? Uber would have been cheaper for his once a month driving habit. Not a fan of the interior color either.

Genuine question but how often should you change the oil on a car like that? Is it annually even though it may have not even done 1k miles? Or do you leave it 4 years and 4k miles.

I’m honestly not sure how this should work lol.

I also wouldn't pay over low 30's for this car but seeing how it's on BAT it'll probably go over 40. Literally the only thing this car has going for it is the low miles. Extended palladium does look decent when it's new but they age horribly and is probably the least desirable color interior wise. And like others mentioned, it's almost not worth it with all the parts that will need to be replaced. It'll probably end up being a collector's car at this point rather than get driven.

Agree, BAT seems to bring out the crazy bidders! The interior did look great, but as other have said, not my first choice, far from it. I have seen that color age horribly in other BMW's, so I know what the future will bring! Low 30's would be fair all around, anything over that is for collectors and those with $$$ to waste. Tires would certainly need replacing right away, they are 12 years old and have sat for a while.

This low mile 08 went for $40k in October, but it's a 6MT Sedan so maybe that had a little to do with it as there are less E90s around.

imo, this one looks nicer, my hope would be that this goes for a bit more. 2008s coupes can easily get a LED tail light swap and no longer look like an 08 (Unlike E90s that need a trunk). The CCC would be the only thing left, but an CIC upgrade is cheap so I wouldn't really care what year a coupe was, condition and options mean more imo.

but I am not a buyer so what do I know.

Seller confirmed that the car did not have any maintenance, even fluids changed, since 2016. Is that a reason to be concerned with these engines, I know with other cars that would be a big NO.

I think the 2008 models come with less stuff than the newer years being as it was the first year. They started to update from 2009 and above
That link tells the differences

None of the updates in 09+ were dramatic enough to avoid a 2008 (unless you specifically want Competition Package). They are practically all the same. LED lights are easy to upgrade, and none of us buy this car for its I-drive system (no matter which year).

This is a drivers car and I would not hesitate to buy the right one if it was a 2008.

Just checking prices on what's out there rn for low mileage e92 m's and there isn't a lot. Carvana had a 13' with 30k miles dct palladium on black with a sunroof go for $41k!! They all seem to be pending sale too over there, they're not lasting long. Agree with the poster above about 08's. Mines an early 08' and it's been fine for the 7 years I've had it. It's had all the major maintenance items done. Seems prices have bottomed for the cleaner low mileage examples it'll be interesting to see what this one goes for.

This low mileage 08 would be a prime candidate for nav delete.

What would a nav delete cost - new oem dashboard, plus labor, plus coding? Cool idea.
