stock air filter from dealer in korea.
Hello, guys!
I was not really into after market filters with e92 and ordered from dealer and this is how it looks like,,, is this normal? (parts personnel didn't say anything when I went back there but later called me saying all the filters in their warehouse are like that...) Could you help me out on this, please,,, Last edited by Typer0318; 02-10-2021 at 04:23 AM.. |

If its something that makes you uncomfortable maybe try to return it and get another one.

My Dinan filters look nothing like that. Looks like you are in Korea so that might just be a knock off from a neighboring country. Order from a reputable US company.

I wouldn't have an issue using it, but OP can exchange it if he wants.

If you google “mahle lx1667”, you’ll see online vendors selling this filter looking the same as the pictures posted (with the black/gray color on the end pleat). Based on this I believe this is normal. OP can ask for a new filter but it will likely look the same as the one posted.

That doesn't look like the stock BMW filter I replaced a couple of weeks ago and many times prior.
The stock one is mustard yellow paper filter. Just saying...

^ Pedestrians, traffic, construction, some very new roads (more south of the river?) but some very old/small roads and back alleys throughout (more north?). It's just very intense and crowded within the city (I wouldn't want an E9xM in NYC or SF either). Outside of Seoul the roads and scenery can be awesome. But within Seoul, a Macan would be about perfect. I'm impressed by my wife every year with her urban driving abilities and reminded that I'll never drive there, lol. And yet you see tons of sports/exotic cars around the city (imported cars are also $$).

^ 100%. The rules of the road are just so foreign to me, they've got a local way and what's okay and normal would get you the bird or an accident here. Busan is even worse. But you're right, between the cities is fantastic freeway driving, beautiful mountain scenery and the roads are brand new.

Oddly enough, even the 08-09 in this picture looks kinda dirty. Maybe white was a poor choice of colors. Last edited by jd501; 02-12-2021 at 06:51 PM.. |

The dirt looks like charcoal to me. Anybody know if the pleats for the OEM contain activated charcoal?
