Launch control

Anyone know how to add launch control with BimmerLink expert mode? It's not an option right now thru link, but I've seen others who got it on a non m vehicle

Wouldn’t you need BimmerCode for coding this feature instead of BimmerLink?

Launch Control requires either Sport+ or the SAT (sport automatic transmission) if memory serves me correct.

Let me google YouTube...I’m sure this is easily found since it is a popular coding option.

Yep...found in seconds with a google search:

Thank you! I saw on you tube someone had it, I don't think I'd use it often... but it's cool to say you have it!

I haven an xline (non m sport) X5 like this guy. So is the only benefit in enabling automatic sport transmission mode to allow launch control? I have never coded my car and can simply move the gear shift to the left to enter sport automatic shift mode. So in other words there's no need to code for this feature. I'm assuming the only reason it to enable LC?

No, you need more than just coding AST to get launch control activated. I don't think bimmercode let's you add this feature if it didn't come already set up from the factory. I'm talking from experience coming from a luxury line(no paddle shifters).
