M50d Brakes on 35i

Hi, I've seen a few threads, but couldn't find the answer I was looking for. Would M50d calipers be plug and play (aside from upgraded rotors) on a 35i? Any coding needed? Not sure there would be any huge performance upgrade, but sure would look nicer and be cheaper than MPBK. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Based on the part number for front calipers:
34116788431
34116788432
These are same brakes as European F15 X5 50i version or E71 ActiveHybrid version according to ECS Tuning (https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...t/34116788431/) .
IMO there is no reason to dive into the european parts if you have few options from US market:
a) install brakes from US X5 F15 50i (https://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1527339)
b) go with MPBK (https://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1285546)
c) use X5M/X6M brakes from previous generation (https://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1464952).
You sure can try though, everything is possible with the right amount of money, there is a chance that these are just different P/N for the same parts, but my main question would be- WHY?

Thank you for the info. As to the why - I figured I could do it for cheaper than the MPBK and improve the aesthetics and performance over my current setup. My main concern is finding replacement parts however down the road.

Just get a set from 50 I have seen many or these for sale on Ebay. $130 for a pair of calipers is pretty much free https://www.ebay.com/itm/284124245077
